If you’ve heard about Catalyst Catholic through your parish, but aren’t exactly sure who we are — you’re not alone.
We’re not a separate church, school, or program. Catalyst Catholic is a unique partnership of 16 Catholic parishes in Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties, working together to offer experiences that no single parish could provide on its own.
We exist to help your child grow in faith, build real friendships, and stay connected to the life of the Church — always in collaboration with your home parish.
What Catalyst Catholic Does
Every parish is unique, but some things are universal — kids need strong mentors, faith-filled community, and real encounters with Jesus. That’s where we come in. Catalyst Catholic exists to:
“This was our first time participating and my child loved it! She asked if there were more days. Thank you to everyone who helped!”
Spaces for Faith to Grow
We know that entrusting your child to a retreat or service event is a big decision. That’s why:
All volunteers and leaders complete Safe Parish training & background checks
Every event is coordinated with parish leadership
All experiences are faithful to Catholic teaching
60 Years of Collaboration
Catalyst began in 1965 as part of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) in the New Albany Deanery. As youth ministry grew, so did the need for one shared office to support all parishes together.
Now operating as Catalyst Catholic, our mission remains the same: To bring the young Church to Christ — one soul at a time.
