Now more than ever, it is time to stand up for the sanctity of human life at the state level. Join the young Church of the New Albany Deanery for a one-day road trip to Indianapolis where we will peacefully march for life from conception to natural death.

 

When: Monday, January 22, 2024 | 6:30am–7:30pm.

Schedule:

  • 6:30am Depart Mt. St. Francis

  • 9:00am Youth Event with Sisters of Life and Sarah Kroger

  • 11:00am Lunch

  • 11:30am Mass for Life with the Bishops of Indiana

  • 1:45pm March

  • 2:30pm Rally at the Capitol Building

  • 4:30pm Dinner & Debrief

  • 7:30pm Pickup at Mt. St. Francis

Cost:
There is no charge to join the deanery for this pilgrimage. However, participants should bring money to buy dinner at Cracker Barrel on the way home.

Where:

  • Drop off and pick up will be held at the Catalyst Catholic Office (101 St. Anthony Dr. / Mt. St. Francis, IN.)

  • Youth event and Mass at Indiana Convention Center (100 S Capitol Ave., Indianapolis, IN)

  • Rally at Capitol Building (200 W Washington St., Indianapolis, IN)

Meals:

  • A hearty breakfast before arrival

  • A simple packed lunch (think a sandwich, easy fruits & veggies, and a water bottle)

  • Dinner at Cracker Barrel. Each participant is responsible for his or her meal costs.

Things to know:

  • You are encouraged to ask school administrators if such an event is considered an excused absence. Catalyst Catholic will provide an excused absence letter upon request.

  • There are accommodations for those who have physical limitations that do not allow for the 30-minute march from the Indiana Convention Center to the capitol building.

  • Our pilgrimage is primarily for high school students, though we are open to families joining us. Please contact the office at team@catalystcatholic.org if you are interested.

 
 

New this year: Youth Rally for Life for 8th-12th graders

Open to 8th-12th graders, the rally features special guests Sarah Kroger and the Sisters of Life! The rally will include music by Sarah Kroger, keynotes from the Sisters of Life, short witness talks, games, discussion, and an opportunity for reconciliation.
