ELIGIBILITY:
Girls’ tennis is open to youth in grades 3 through 8. (Boys’ tennis is offered in the fall).
Athletes must attend a Catholic school in the New Albany Deanery or be a registered member of a Catholic parish in the New Albany Deanery.
Athletes are not permitted to play for their public-school team and the deanery/parish team at the same time.
REGISTRATION:
Girls’ tennis registration is accepted online via Final Forms (orange button below).
The only document that cannot be accepted electronically is the physical form. Each athlete is required to have a current IHSAA physical form, signed by a licensed physician, on file with the Catalyst Catholic Office.
The registration fee is $40 per athlete, due via credit card (on Final Forms) or by sending a check made payable to Catalyst Catholic (101 St. Anthony Dr. / Mt. St. Francis, IN 47146)
Athletes will be provided with a uniform shirt. Any additional piece of equipment need will incur extra charge. Each athlete will need to provide his own tennis shoes, socks, and racket.
COACHING STAFF:
Catalyst Catholic is blessed with an outstanding team of volunteer coaches. All adult volunteers are required to complete standard volunteer requirements. This year’s coaching staff includes:
Robert Kleeman joins the SIC Tennis program as a former head tennis professional at Southern Indiana Tennis Center. He coached at Floyd Central High School for seven years, was a collegiate coach at Marian University, and a tennis pro at various clubs in Indiana, Kentucky, Alabama, and Florida.
SCHEDULES:
Most practices are held at Providence High School (707 Providence Way, Clarksville, IN 47129) or at a New Albany park based on availability.
Practices will typically last between 1-1.5 hours and will be held 2-3 times a week depending on the age of the athletes in the division. Practices are expected to begin on March 13 and matches are expected to begin on April 1.
The Catalyst team plays public schools throughout the Southern Indiana region.
Parents are responsible for transporting their athletes to practices and scheduled games.
Coaches reserve the right to limit an athlete’s participation based on risk of injury, behavioral issues, or lack of attendance to practice.

Catalyst Catholic Athletics is a ministry of the New Albany Deanery, providing athletic opportunities for elementary, middle school, and high school youth who attend a Catholic parish or school within Clark, Floyd, or Harrison counties in Indiana. Through athletic ministry, Catalyst Catholic is dedicated to giving athletes a positive environment where they can develop fundamental skills of the game while growing with their Catholic community.
