Your fall break staycation is back for the seventh year October 10-12, 2025!

Join families from across the New Albany Deanery for Fam Jam, a weekend of casual camping, at the Mt. St. Francis Sanctuary (101 St. Anthony Dr. / Mt. St. Francis, IN). The weekend is a great opportunity to focus on the family, while meeting friends from throughout Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties.

Tent and pull-through primitive camper sites available. Not a camper? No problem! Join us for the activities each day and sleep in your own bed! Day pass guests are welcome!

We are busy working on Fam Jam… but in the meantime, here are the details we can share! (New committee members are always welcome, too! Email team@catalystcatholic.org for more details.)

    • Campers are welcome to set up their campsites on Thursday (10/9) between 6-8pm or Friday (10/10) between 2-6pm.

    • Late arrivals may be scheduled by calling 812.923.8355. If a Catalyst staff member is not available, please leave a message with your name, contact number, and expected arrival time, and we will return your call to confirm.

    • Upon arrival, campers will follow arrows directly down the hill towards the lake where they will be greeted by a friendly team of volunteers who will help you to your site. Please be prepared to drop your camping items off at the campsite quickly.

    • We need all adults to help watch children during loading and unloading - please be mindful of your surroundings and children playing in the area.

    • Those with tent sites will follow a one-way traffic pattern from the check in tent, downhill towards the lake.

    • RV parking will be on both sides of the main driveway. After checking in, those with RV sites will follow the paved driveway down to the lake and will return uphill towards the retreat center, allowing each camper to back in and be angled towards the exit for easy check out on Sunday.

    • For safety reasons, campers will not be permitted to leave their vehicle down at campsites for unloading. Parking will be in the designated lot near the entrance to Mount St. Francis only. Vehicles may not remain at the campsites.

    • Tent sites will be set up in “pods” providing a more organic, community-focused camping experience. Five sites (with 2 tents per site) will be available per pod, leaving plenty of room in the middle of the site for a shade canopy or bonfire pit. (A burn pit and one Holy Smoke will be provided. All other supplies, including camp wood, must be brought in by campers.)

    • Each 20x40 RV/camper site can accommodate one camper.

    • Campsites must be cleared of all equipment and garbage by noon on Sunday.

    • A communal campfire will be provided at the lakeside shelter on Friday during and after the community cook out.

    • A burn pit and Holy Smoke (campfire) will be provided in each pod on Saturday night.

    • All other at campfires must be in a raised fire pit container.

    • Please bring your own campfire wood. Do not cut wood from the Mt. St. Francis Sanctuary or use the wood located at the lakeside shelter.

    • There will be no electrical or water hook-up for campsites, campers, or RVs. However, clean drinking/washing water will be available.

    • Designated quiet hours are 11 pm until 7:30 am. Only low-decibel generators may run through the night.

    • Restrooms will be limited to port-a-potties. A single-stall, handicap accessible toilet is available for those who need it.

    • No showers will be available. Swimming or bathing in the lake is allowed.

    • A dumpster will be available throughout the weekend for all FamJam participants. Please keep your campsite neat and dispose of all trash.

    • No ATVs, skateboards, or bicycles are allowed.

    • Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for disposing of all pet waste.

    • Check out a Mt. St. Francis trail map here.

  • There is plenty to do while enjoying FamJam. We will update the website as details are confirmed… but here is a peek at last year’s schedule. You will see the weekend is choke full of traditional events like corn hole competitions, canoe races, hiking, and more!

  • Whether you are joining us for the whole weekend of camping or joining us for the day, consider lending a hand to make this year the best FamJam yet! When details are confirmed, we will update the website with volunteer opportunities.

    • All campers are invited to meet up at the lakeside shelter for for a community cook out on Friday night at 6:30pm at the lakeside shelter. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and tableware will be provided. Each family is asked to bring a side dish to share!

    • Campers are responsible for their own meals for the remainder of the weekend. Don’t feel like cooking? No worries, Highlander Point (Floyds Knobs) and State Street (New Albany) provide a great variety of meal options that can be picked up or delivered to Mt. St. Francis! Door Dash, Grub Hub, and Uber Eaters deliveries may be made to the Info Tent. Please use the following address for deliveries: 101 St. Anthony Dr. / Mt. St. Francis, IN 47146,

    • Campers are welcome to bring gas and charcoal grills for their sites. However, we ask that you dispose of used charcoal safely.
