2019 Football Registration Information

Who: Football is open to boys 1 – 8 grade attending deanery schools or whose family is registered at a deanery parish.  (Please note, Catalyst’s football team is known as “Southern Indiana Catholic” and is commonly referred to as SIC.) Athletes must attend a Catholic school in the New Albany Deanery or be a registered member of a Catholic parish in the New Albany Deanery. Athletes are not permitted play for their public school team and the SIC team at the same time.

Equipment: Athletes will be provided with helmet, shoulder pads, practice jersey/pants, and game jersey/pants that need to be returned at the end of the season.  Each athlete will need to provide their own white football socks, cleats, and mouthpiece.

How to register: Catalyst Catholic is pleased to provide a streamlined registration program, Final Forms, for football this year.

Athletic Physicals: In addition the the online registration process on Final Forms, each athlete is required to have a current physical, signed by a licensed physician, on file with Catalyst Catholic. Athletes may use the IHSSA form or the Archdiocese of Indianapolis form. In order to be eligible to practice or play, please return the completed physical to your coach or mail/drop it off by the first practice of the season to:

Cost: There is a $80 fee per athlete to participate in SIC football. (Payment can be made online with major credit cards or debit cards at Final Forms. Checks may also be written, payable to Catalyst Catholic.)

General Information:

  • Practices will typically last between 1-1.5 hours and will be held 2-3 times a week depending on the age of the athletes in the division.

  • Parents are responsible for transporting their athlete to practices and scheduled games.

  • Coaches reserve the right to limit an athlete’s participation based for risk of injury, behavioral issues, or due to lack of attendance to practice.

  • Practice and game schedule will be communicated at the first practice.

Coaches: Catalyst Catholic is blessed with an outstanding team of volunteer coaches. Adults, 18+ years of age, must complete the following requirements:

·      Safe and Sacred Training

·      Background Check

·      Concussion Protocol Training
