Join us for a new series in the New Albany Deanery! Three Great Dates is an opportunity for couples to enjoy a good meal, a great speaker, and time to just be together. Whether you are newly married, still dating, or a veteran couple, our speakers will offer some practical tools and spiritual principles to help strengthen your marriage and family. Please note the event times vary because we begin each evening with the regularly-schedule parish Mass. Check out the descriptions below for all the details:

  • Date: May 11, 2024 | 4:30-7:30pm

Location: St. John Paul II Catholic Church
    2253 W St Joe Rd

    Presenter: Steve & Jenni Angrisano

Wrapping up our series is Steve Angrisano, an internationally known singer, songwriter and keynote speaker who is well known and loved here in Southern Indiana. But Steve’s “first love and vocation” (quoted from his online bio) is his wife Jenni – and she will be joining him this night! While Steve’s dreams and calling took him all over the world for over 25 years, Jenni has been a constant support. Of course, Jenni has dreams and a calling of her own and Steve has provided unwavering support in return. Join Steve and Jenni as they witness to the power of faith and prayer in marriage, and offer advice on supporting your spouse, especially when it seems your dreams cannot be realized together.

Throughout her 20+ years in parish ministry, Kathy has walked alongside couples in every stage of a relationship. What is the one thing that each of them has to learn? How to love their partner in the way their partner desires to be loved. We all tend to give love in particular ways, but do we know how our partner desires to be loved? The concept of “love languages” unlocks a new level of understanding between spouses, making room for greater joy and harmony. Join Kathy as she digs into the 5 Love Languages as developed by Gary Chapman, Ph.D., and gives you tips on how to begin using this knowledge in your relationship!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Three Great Dates reserved for Catholic couples only?
Although this event is marketed as a “date night” the content is beneficial to all who are married, engaged, or dating. If your spouse cannot attend, just select one ticket in the registration process.

Similarly, your spouse does not need to be Catholic! Everything will be presented from a Catholic perspective, but we believe these are presentations that will help each and every relationship grow and develop.

Do I need to attend all three nights?
No, you do not need to attend all three. The topics are connected but not dependent on on each other.

Is a reservation required? Is there a deadline?
Yes, reservations are required in order to ensure plenty of seating and food. The deadline to register is six days before each event. Walk-ups are not accepted.

Is childcare available?
Yes! We are happy to provide childcare by reservation. Please indicate the number of children attending when purchasing your tickets. A kid-friendly meal will be provided. A free-will offering will be taken to help offset the cost of food and childcare workers. Children who are nursing may remain with their parents, if desired.

What does the reservation price include?
The ticket price includes dinner for one and a non-alcoholic drink as well as a top-notch Catholic speaker. Couples should purchase two tickets in the registration process.

Are there any discounts available?
Discounts are available for those who purchase tickets for all three nights in advance. Bundle pricing is $50 each, which is a $10 savings. For couples, this means you get three date nights including childcare for $100!

What is the schedule for each evening?
Each evening will include Mass with the parish, a catered dinner, a presentation by the speaker, followed by Q&A over dessert. Because the evening begins with Mass, the start times vary depending on the location, so please double check the time when making plans!
